Understanding and Empathy are what youth need when things are starting to go wrong.

When you see a youth on the street in Edmonton, you are not just seeing someone without a home. You are seeing a child who is hurt. Many of the aggressive, anti-social, or drug-related behaviours we see in vulnerable youth are a direct result of trauma.

It takes a community to create space where youth can heal and move forward. Join us and our amazing vulnerable youth-supporting partners as we #healtogether

Southview Acura has donated over $1.9 million to hundreds of causes and communities over the years. We are grateful to receive $9,000 as one of the communities that they support.

We are in urgent need of socks and men's clothing (all kinds, all sizes)! New socks and new or gently used clothing can be dropped off at our Whyte Ave building (9310 82 Ave) Monday to Friday, 9AM-4PM. For more information visit YESS.org/donate

We had a goal to raise $6000 on Giving Tuesday--the amount to support one youth for one year at YESS.

Together, you raised $20,475 in one day!
Your gift will change the lives of youth on their journeys towards healing and appropriate community integration, providing them access to a warm, safe space, nutritious meals, healing resources like therapy and art programming, and opportunities to work on their goals for their education and future career.

In 2018/2019, 729 individual youth accessed our programs. It will take a community to support all the youth who need access to the resources we have at YESS.

You are truly part of the community walking beside youth.

Today some of our team and some of our amazing supporters attended National Philanthropy Day! YESS nominated SONiC 102.9 and CityNews Edmonton (Rogers Communications), Impark, The Home Depot Canada Foundation, and longtime volunteer Ruth Nolan. On stage are all the National Philanthropy Day nominees in the social sector.

These organizations and individuals have been amazing partners in our vision of walking beside youth on their journeys towards healing and we are so grateful for their generosity! #NPD2019

Hey #yeg! Our Whyte Ave kitchen is undergoing much-needed renovations and we need your help to support Programs meals from Nov. 25 to Dec. 13!

If you are part of an organization that is able to prepare a breakfast or lunch for our youth, please reach out to us to arrange all the logistics!

We need crochet and knitting supplies for an upcoming youth program! New or gently used crochet hooks, knitting needles, and yarn of all sizes will be a huge help to getting started!

A big, warm thanks to the Blankets for Canada Society, whose Edmonton group brought blankets and scarves for our youth! Twice a month they get together to crochet, knit, and quilt and it means so much to for our youth to have these warm, handmade blankets and scarves.
