Warrior Women
Warrior Women is composed of Matricia Bauer and Mackenzie Brown. A dynamic mother daughter duo whose haunting melodies and harmonious song writing will give you an experience of a lifetime. Warrior Women write a perform songs written in both English and their native tongue, Cree. Matricia and Mackenzie offer performances ranging from educational performances in schools with children and youth, to traditional crafting classes, to relaxing atmospheric drumming shows offered to people of all ages. Since the creation of Warrior Women, Matricia and Mackenzie have traveled around Alberta, drumming, singing and educating the population on First Nations culture, traditions and crafts. Warrior Women offer performance shows, workshops, tour shows, guided experiences, training and much more. If you have ever wanted to hear the beat of the drum and connect back to First Nations roots, Warrior Women is the band for you.

Edmonton Metropolitan Chorus
Edmonton Metropolitan Chorus Society is in its fifteenth season. The chorus is based on the principles of inclusiveness and participation, and in keeping with these principles, the chorus is non-auditioned. Everyone, regardless of talent and experience, is welcome. Singers with more experience are given opportunities to sing solos, and are encouraged to share their talents with other members of the chorus.
By singing in many languages, and through the performance of music from a diverse range of genres, the chorus and audience members experience and develop a deeper appreciation for all cultures.

What is the dress code?
The dress code for the YESS Gala for Youth is semi-formal. For this year’s masquerade theme, we invite you to explore your creativity!
What is the scheduled program for the event?
The YESS Gala for Youth will begin at 6PM with a cocktail reception, with dinner and performances starting at 7PM.
What opportunities to support will there be?
There will be several raffles with all proceeds supporting YESS.

Parking options include the Impark Underground Lot at Canada Place, Impark Surface Lot at the Courtyard by Marriott, and the Grierson Hill Surface Lot.
Is my ticket tax-deductible?
A portion of your event ticket will be eligible for a charitable donation receipt which will be sent post-event.
Note that charitable donation receipts can only be issued to the person/company who purchases the tickets, per Canada Revenue Agency Income Tax Act. Please note also that, when purchasing online, the receipt is issued to the name on the credit card.
