If you're a teen who has no place to go, we understand. We can help.
We serve youth ages 15-21 in our shelter and residence programs, and youth ages 15-24 in our daytime programs.
If you need help or referrals to addictions counselling, legal advocacy, or human services, or if you have problems in your life you can’t handle on your own, please call us.

Nexus provides short-term shelter and security. Here, Youth Workers will help you find stable and secure housing as quickly as possible. The shelter opens at 9PM and has access to food, dorms, showers, and personal items (jackets, backpacks, toothbrushes, shoes) from the donation room.
While at Nexus, you will work with a Youth Worker to list your goals and needs, find services that can help you, and they will help you work to find stable and secure housing as quickly as possible.
Armoury Resource Centre
The Armoury Resource Centre (ARC) is home to a variety of daytime programs, including medical care, addictions and mental health counselling, help with continuing education, and help with housing resources.
ARC is also where you’ll find our Support Service workers.
For youth who need the stability and support of a long-term placement, we have two residences: Graham’s Place and Shanoa’s Place. If you are working on goals such as finishing school, overcoming addiction, or focusing on your mental health, then our residence might be a good fit for you. Talk to the staff at Nexus or ARC about your housing options.
Our building on Whyte Ave is the home of our Nexus shelter program.
This is the Armoury Resource Centre, home of our daytime programs and our Compass and Mosaic resource workers.
The programs at YESS can help you find solutions. We know that stable housing and other positive resources will help you achieve your goals.
