Adopt-A-Teen

For many of us, the holidays are a time of celebration, connection, and giving.

For many of the youth YESS serves, they holidays can also be one of the most difficult times of the year.

That’s why Christmas comes early at YESS.

By giving today through Adopt-A-Teen, you’re helping ensure more than 6,000 youth across Edmonton experience dignity, hope, and joy this upcoming holiday season.

Throughout July, every donation is matched dollar for dollar, up to $55,000, thanks to the generous support of Dow Canada and MNH Injury Lawyers.

Adopt-A-Teen is proudly presented by Southgate Centre.

Works

How It Works

When you “adopt” a teen, you’re giving them more than just a gift—you’re showing them that they’re seen, valued, and cared for. Each teen receives a $50 gift card, giving them the freedom to choose something special for themselves this holiday season.

Adopt 1 teen for $50
Adopt 2 teens for $100
Adopt 4 teens for $200
Adopt 10 teens for $500

Thanks to Dow Canada and MNH Injury Lawyers, every donation made throughout July will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $55,000.

Adopt-A-Teen Today

“For many of the young people we serve, the holidays can be an incredibly isolating time. A simple gift can mean so much more than what’s inside the bag. It tells a young person that someone believes in them, that they matter, and that they haven’t been forgotten. By giving early through Adopt-A-Teen, our community is helping us make sure thousands of Edmonton teens experience dignity, hope, and joy this upcoming holiday season.

— Corey Mowles, President & CEO, YESS

Matters

Why It Matters

A simple gift can mean so much more than what’s inside the bag.

It tells a young person:

  • Someone cares.
  • Someone believes in them.
  • They haven’t been forgotten.

A special thank you to Southgate Centre, whose partnership ensures every teen supported through Adopt-A-Teen receives a $50 Southgate Centre gift card. Giving youth the opportunity to choose something meaningful for themselves restores a sense of choice and dignity while supporting local businesses.
