Thank you for your interest in volunteering at YESS! Every year we rely on hundreds of volunteers in our buildings, in our programs, and at our events to be part of our mission to walk beside youth on their journeys towards healing and appropriate community integration.

How do I book a volunteer shift?
To book your group volunteer shift, please contact our Volunteer Programs Officer by email or call 780.468.7070.
What time are the volunteer shifts?
We are able to accommodate volunteer shifts during our business hours, Monday-Friday, 9AM-4PM. Some group volunteer projects might require specific start times.
What should I wear?
Closed-toed shoes are required in YESS buildings at all times. Volunteer projects may include a variety of tasks, from organizing to painting to decorating. Please come appropriately and comfortably dressed for your project.
Some projects have a cost. Why do we need to make a donation in addition to giving time?
Although volunteer support is crucial for our operations, financial contributions are an essential part of maintaining YESS programs and resources. The costs associated with certain projects cover the cost of appropriate supplies and ensure the success of your project as well as the continued safety of YESS facilities.
What if my company doesn't have budget for the donation?
We encourage you to cover the cost by organizing your group to raise funds leading up to your volunteer day. Fundraising can be a great way to share your group’s enthusiasm for giving back and an opportunity to share more information about YESS.
